    Hi,

To all female boardsies, would you get with a small guy? Like very small.... 5ft 6 or 5ft 5..

I think most girls seem to have rule number 1 in men is they have to be tall

'get with' a guy is a bit general I know, I guess I mean makeout with or you can take it as having a relationship or having sex with or whatever too...

I'm around that height and wouldn't consider that to be very small. Then again why would I?

Hang on... Are you a journo?

There was this one time, in a nite club, when this girl grabbed me by the arm and said 'can you pretend to be my boyfriend because there's this guy harrasing me' (he was a wee fella who was quite pushy with the ladies).

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,461 ✭✭✭dee.

I wouldn't have thought of 5'5 or 5'6 as "very" small? But my boyfriend is about 5'6 and I'm 5'3".

Would you get with a midget? You could hide him under a long dress and smuggle him into places for free... Even get head while you have him there!

I’m tiny and like tall guys. We’d just look like two Polly Pockets.

Between 5'6 or 5'7 and 6' would probably be my limit. It depends on body shape too. I'm 5'4 and have rarely been attracted to over 6 foot.

according to wiki its 5ft 10 for a guy

so 5 inches smaller would be a good bit!

makes all the difference i'd say

most girls prefer/require the guy to be tall i think

really? Other girls "require" men to be a certain height? FFS what is the world coming to. If you like someone/have a spark there why would height be so important. Fair enough if you just wanted the ride but I wouldn't see height as an important factor for a serious relationship.

    6' minimum height requirement.

    I know it's shallow, and I don't care :P

Im just under 5-6 myself so no, because I like my guy to be taller than me in high heels, last weekend I had 5inch heels on and my OH was still taller than me....however if I lived in a country where I could wear flip flops all year long, then probably yes !!!

Really? Wow. Most of my friends have been male so I wouldn't be too aware of stuff like that and I definitely wouldn't judge anyone for being short. Very surprised though. shallow, the lot of them!

yes, exactly, the heels on a night out thing can be a big factor in there

No it's not but judging someone based on their height is pretty shallow. And let's face it, most people looking to score are 99.9999% interested in how the person looks rather than their personality so I could see it as slightly more acceptable in that case.

Yeah loike wearing heels on a night out is the second most important thing in life. God forbid us ladies look taller than a man, morto!

My OH is half an inch shorter than me and i have to say its quite nice to not feel like I have to wear heels every time i go out. Obv if i want to I do anyway and doesnt bother me at all that he is then a good bit smaller. But I now generally choose flats for a night out and my feet have never been happier :D

a lot of girls just say 'no' to under a certain height, or at least they claim they do. I could not think of one single thing that could put me off a person. So he is fantastic in every way, but short, he wouldn't get a look in

i'm just 5'6... been claiming to be the 5'6 for years but sure, we can have dreams.

anyway, OH is a couple of inches shorter, no problem whatsoever. Think to be honest if a girl is using height as a requirement , it must be so his nostrils are far from the BS she is talking.

hey don't shoot the messenger if it was up to me the girl wouldnt wear heels unless she was maybe inch or two smaller than me

if the girl is taller before the heels and then wears heels, well... its not good

Dee, im not saying i personally think wearing heels is that important and im not saying I have anything against the girl being taller, but I find girls do!

and other taller lads have no problem laying on the slagging in this case too

My comment was moreso directed at the girl who wouldn't date someone shorter because she likes wearing heels, quoted the wrong post!

    I'm 5'9 in socks, thick socks ;)

I like girls around 5'2 to 5'7, once they are somewhat shorter than me, or maybe slightly taller in heels, then I still feel manly. If a women is towering over me, my penis shrivels up and I feel like if things turn nasty, she could theoretically, give me a good hiding. I also like the submissive type, women who like to be thrown around, tied up etc. Have tried that with taller women and tbh, I just looked like a little boy telling his mammy what to do. So, think it best I stick to women a little shorter and a little lighter too actually. I hover around the 12 stone mark and have been with a few women who were heavier than that, twas fun, but I just couldn't do what I wanted to, like go out and play with my friends. As for sex, standing 69 was off the menu for a start let me tell you and needed a standing order for shower screens at Woddies DIY for brief period also.

There's a lid for every pot. I'm not the tallest of fellows either, my GF is slightly shorter than me, and taller in heels. I couldn't care less.

OP, if you're not getting anywhere with the taller ladies, try the smaller ones, if you're still not getting anywhere then it's not your height that's the problem.

Anyways, there's a 1,000 other things people will discriminate on so don't let one bug you. ;) We're all flawed, isn't life great.

what about 5'8 with no heels :'(
I think you've a good point there though, it's somewhat impractical for a guy to be shorter sometimes.

I dated a guy who was about the same height as I am (5'5'')- maybe a little shorter- but what was most off putting for me was how irritatingly aware he was of it the whole time. He's constantly tell me to wear flats every time we met up, and if we were on an escalator he would jump up a step and look down at me with the most stupid grin on his face. We broke up for different reasons, and my boyfriend now is easily 6' but... just bad memories of a guy with such an obvious complex!
