    Hello all,

Can anyone tell me the going rate for re-wiring a 3 bed semi in the north kildare are?

I'm looking for a decent job aswell so cost isn't going to be the deciding factor.

    house occupied /unoccupied

    wall chasing+making good/surface trunking

    floorboards carpets etc

We'd be talking 2 double sockets in the living and room and 2 double in the dining room. The kitchen is small 9sqm (approx). I'd want 1 in the hall and 1 on the landing. Then 2 single sockets in each of the bedrooms.

    So that would be

    4 double.
    8 single.

I wouldn't be to sure what I would need in a kicthen maybe you can advise?

I'd also be factoring the standard safety smoke/heat alarms into cost aswell.

Hope this doesn't sound to silly!!

The house would be unoccupied and almost all the walls are just false. (plaster board)

i think you should get a few quotes from lads who actually look at the job because if someone gives you a figure here that figure will stick in your head

a rewire is not a small job, no two are ever the same when it comes to costs you just can't tell from a computer and at the end of the day if the actual quote you get is far more than the one you might get here you'll only feel like your being ripped off when in fact it might be a genuine price for the work involved

just for your own sanity keep that in mind because a lot of people only remember the fist figure they hear
