    Hi Guys,

I think i know the answer to this but here goes, I have a few spots on my bonnet where it looks like rust is peeking through, I have been told that paint touch ups require a full part respray and some adjoing panels too, Is this the case for some small rust patches or am i able to get away with a small respray?

If you get the likes of Chipsaway or similar services in the Golden Pages they should be able to just touch up the damaged areas, might be talking about €200 to do it. I would not recommend trying yourself with touchup paint as it will likely end up a mess, it's not easy to match up the new paint with the existing finish.

    Not anymore, it's me instead!

Generally, there's no quick fixes for rust. What you can see is always only the tip of the iceberg, if you sand away the paint around the visible area, you'll find more of it waiting to shine through. A SMART repair is never suitable for a bonnet, you're better off just bringing it to a bodyshop and letting them do their thing.
