I dont understand him... He's trying to get work as an actor, and he wont lose the weight.. He might as well be trying to get work as a professional footballer..

Those Tesco ads are annoying though..

    He's as funny as a 4 year old's funeral.

But someone clearly likes him. He's in everything but the nativity crib these past few years, especially on TVcheap3.

AND he's signed up to a big reputable American agency.

I made the mistake of going to see Zonad in the cinema last year.

    :(

I don't mind him, he seems to be a bit of a slogger in an industry in Ireland that has feck all potential and the only earning power he has is all these voice overs and ads, We all have to live. Having said that I haven't seen anything that I actually liked him in.

Give the guy credit, he certainly is a talented performer, and rather than sitting back like so many in his precarious profession waiting for the doorbell to ring, he gets on with doing lots of things, because the man has responsibilities and bills to pay. RESPECT for Mr Delaney and do something about your ' intense irrational dislike' :(

Who are you to say that others in his profession sit back and wait for the bell to ring? I can tell you that certainly is not the case. Given the opportunities that he has been given you can be sure there'd be others out there too making hay while the sun shines.

I think he's been more lucky than talented to be honest.

Ya I don't like him - so what

Saw him in 'Stones in his Pocket' a few years ago at the Olympia or somewhere.
He's a pretty good theatre actor.

I saw him on Living with Lucy last year and he was saying he had an agent out in LA who was lining up auditions for him. He gave the impression that he was getting ready to move out there full time. Nothing seems to have come from it so far. He's a bit auld really to be chasing the Hollywood dream.

Yeah, but you here that crap from every ex Fair City actor. "I'm concentrating on America. I have some really exciting job opportunities coming up other there and I've shot a pilot for a really exiting show, bla, bla bla". Most Irish actors and actress aren't willing to go the extra mile to make it in LA and come back to Ireland quick enough.

As for Simon Delaney I don't know what he would have to offer that America hasn't got he would be more productive to hit the UK drama scene.

Brendan Coyle is great in Downton Abbey, granted he has both Irish and British citizenship. Think he played the posh dude in Paths to Freedom.

Great to see he is following his dream. He is in tonight's episode of The Good Wife on More4.

He's also playing the part of Sean Penn's best friend in the upcoming film This Must be the Place. In addition to that he has a part in the pilot for Kiefer Sutherland's new TV show, Touch. Personally I'd say the fella is doing pretty well…

You said it and the great thing about him is he has never changed since things started going so well for him.
