Window film

I have a ground floor apartment, with a large window in the front, at the moment I have a net curtain on it & it does the job, but I really would like a change. The window is a bit big for venitian blinds I think, and rollar blinds wouldn't provide the privacy.

A friend suggested putting a film on the window, has anyone any experiance of this, how does it look, is it easy to keep clean.

    Many thanks

    Hi dude,.
There are many types of window tint available in the market for a wide variety of uses from solar heat reduction to UV protection, privacy to safety and security, decorative applications to heat retention.
    regards,.

    Hi,

If your thinking of using etched/frosted film, be careful when buying the film, or employing someone to apply it that they are using the correct quality material. if its not the corrrect grade it wont hold up to alot of sunlight shining contantly on it.

Also if your tinting, the tint will only work during the day.
at night when you turn lights on in the appt you wont be able to see out and everyone will be able to see in.

Thats was I want to avoid, thanks for the tip.

I will have to think a bit more about it, and see what other options there are.
