Gas Tumble Dryer

    Hi,
can anyone explain the connection between the numbers that come up on my ESB and Gas meters and the bill I receive at the end of the month. I changed from getting 2 separate bills to a single bill from the ESB for my gas and electricity and now for the first time in 22 years am in arrears on my bill. What units do either meter show.... cubic meters for gas and kw/hrs for electricity. Assuming they use SI units what is the cost of each respectively.

A sales rep in the gas told me that gas costs 4cents per kw as opposed to electricity which costs 15cents per kw. Is this true or not anyone?. I am totally suspicious of any "so called" plans.....regardless if its mobile phones or gas or electricity. Their primary purpose in my view is to fudge the facts and numb the customer into not looking too closely at the details.

Is there a simple euro value I can multiply the reading on the meter by to arrive at a reasonably accurate bill amount.

The unit calculation etc is on the top of your bill. ie it gives you the meter units the the conversion unit.

Aside from that i dont think there is much more anyone can do. Its a simple case of working out how the meter is converted and the cost per unit.

What has this got to do with a gas tumble dryer btw.

Cheers mate.....now that I have found a bill, I can see how dumb that question was. I was thinking of the old bills I used get back in the 90`s......they were a mystery to decipher.
