Sookie makes a deal with Eric and reconnects with Alcide; Bill punishes an errant vampire and counsels a guilt-ridden Jessica; Jason is cast as a reluctant savior; Tommy eyes a scam and alienates Sam; Marnie flexes her newfound powers; Pam delivers an ultimatum to Lafayette, Tara and Jesus; Eric spoils Sookie's faerie reunion.

Hmm, I'm still not sure how I feel about the series so far. I like that they're going with the Eric amnesia storyline and I like seeing the vulnerable side to him. I'm also delighted he got rid of Claudine (wasted opportunity there). Happy to see the return of Alcide (nyom).

Sam/Tommy/Maxine is just boring and I'm finding it hard to care about Jason. Same goes for Jessica and Hoyt.

I think Lafayette and the coven is the only thing holding it together so far.

Edit: I did like Eric calling her Snookie :)

I really liked this ep because of Eric, he was so cute plus Sookie reaction to him. That only thing liked about this ep. I can't wait to see more of Eric.

Better than the preceding rubbish but still not good.

This series has been so boring thus far. They're either building up to something very good or have completely run out of good ideas that work for TV.

I could see all this being interesting in the books, but it just drags for TV.

Jason getting gang raped has to be one of the biggest WTF moments I've witnessed on TV.
    :pac:

Not as good as E2, better than E1.
Loved Eric in this episode. The shy vulnerable thing is classic.
The true death for sucking blood on camera, that's going to bite every single vampire character in the ass. Interesting to see how that plays out.
Bill is kind of interesting at the moment.
Dunno what's going on with that doll.
The Jason storyline needs to be moved forward and quickly.
    Woohoo Alcide is back.

roll on next week, and I'm getting sick of waiting for the storylines to really move forward.

    GET RID OF TARA NOW!

2 funny moments. Calling Sookie Snookie and the werepanther girls running a train on Jason. Other than that it was only an average episode, very meh

Well I'm enjoying this season and all the story lines. In particular the Eric storyline... I now want Bill to race up to Sookie, look at her meaningfully and say in his deep Southern accent "Snookie!"

Oh and did nobody else notice what Snookie was reading at the dinner table? :D

    Episode 3

    Loving:

    - Eric's storyline, with the amnesia.

    - Bill's storyline. "King Bill" makes him interesting, instead of the usual "Sookeh, ah love you..." pining.

Not loving yet, but finding interesting & assuming it's important:

    - Lafayette, Jesus, & Tara and the coven

    Not loving at all:

    - Sam's stupid brother. I like Sam, but Tommy bores me.
    - Jessica and Hoyt where is it going to go 3 episodes in and they havent progressed.

    Hating:-

    - Jason & the weretards. I like Jason, but don't give a monkey's about the storyline with Crystal and the other in-bred hill-billy freaks. l

I noticed the book Sookie was reading!! Made me laugh.

I also am slightly bored with this series. Agreed that the Eric storyline is the best, I wish the whole episode had just been that :)

Not really interested in the Jason thing, its fairly pointless.

Like someone else above said, what is up with that doll thing? The one Hoyt and Jessica are seemingly being stalked by!

The coven has potential to be interesting.

I feel like Im still waiting for it to get going.

My feelings exactly. I zoned out completely any time Jason and the weretards were on. I'm also not mad about the Andy-on-V storyline. It isn't adding anything.

My thoughts are pretty much in line with the rest of you, loving the new Eric, he is downright adorable. I thought the hoodie and shorts looked hilarious on him, but my favourite scene was him avoiding her mat so he wouldnt get mud on it.

Im actually glad they killed off Claudine, that was the only storyline I really disliked.

That being said Jason and the were-panthers was downright disturbing. I couldnt help but cringe at all those women with awful dental hygiene taking advantage of poor gorgeous Jason.

The creepy doll thing, and the creepy baby. I'm not loving it but I am willing to give it a chance.

Jesus, Lafayette and the other witches were excellent- I cant wait to see what happens there.

Bill and Portia Bellefleur, well well well. This could turn out to be interesting. I like King Bill-hes very ruthless and assertive.

This whole caught on camera malarkey is going to end badly for one of the vampire characters, I just hope that it isnt one we like!

So far, so good. All I want from hereon out is a lot more Pam and Eric, a lot less Tommy and Hoyt/Jessica.

Seems to be picking up a bit but still below par compared the other seaons.

A few funny moments and was in stitches when Jessica was trying to get rid off the weird looking doll to the baby :D

Agree 100% with this. Jessica is a total waste of a character. Hoyt was much better with Summer (the good looking Melissa Rauch). I hope something comes of that storyline and the sooner the better.

What is with the doll? They actually showed it in the 'Previously on True Blood' part as well, but I don't know has it ever been on the show before ?

It was on the floor in the last episode of season 3 as they walk into the house, hence the "previously on true blood" part!

I can't wrap my head around this doll thing either. When I first saw it at the end of the last season (Hoyt showing Jessica around the new house) I figured it was a representation of the children they can never have together, and a reminder of their possible lack of future. You know, something left behind by whoever lived there before them by chance.

Guess I read too much into that one.

Then I thought it was Maxine plaguing them, since she's all weirdo about dolls and stuff. There's a connection there maybe, because I don't remember Maxine ever talking about dolls before this season. But the more I think that the less I believe it.

When Jessica tried to pawn off the creepy doll on the ebil baby I thought, maybe Rene's devil spawn is behind the whole thing. He has a fondness for dolls too (although without their heads) and Rene had a fondness for hating vampers and killing fangbangers. But that makes no sense either.

All I conclude is that the doll has nothing to do with anything and that it's another completely irrelevant storyline to keep the secondary characters busy and involved.

Too many story lines but I did like the very Jessica like way Eric reacted when he was in the cubby hole with 'Snookie' and his fangs popped out inadvertently.

I think that the doll has to do with hoids (or whatever way u write his name) mother !! She wants them to break up that's why she ordered a doll from tv also when Timmy was at the door . Are u following me ? Prob she asks Timmy ( SAMs brother) to put it there inside their house to drive them crazy .

I had the same thought - but it got thrown into a lake didn't they say ? Did he shift into a fish to fetch it out again ?

Meh, This season is off to a slow start. I'll take a slow 1st half for a rollercoaster 2nd half though. Each season so far has started strongly and ended poorly or vice versa.

Seems to be every second episode with this series.
    1 and 3 were poor
    2 and 4 are crackers.

Sookie: "you just killed my fairy godmother"

    Eric: "sorry"
