I'm doing this in September as an external student. It says you can bring in legislations to the exam, can someone explain to me what exactly can be brought in. Do you just print off legislations or is it a book?

Looking at the Sample Paper online, it doesn't look that hard. Would I be correct in saying this? I haven't seen other papers and still haven't registered so I can't view them but if anyone could provide info and possibly past papers also it would be great.

Sorry mate you read that wrong. Students are required to refer to various legislations, not quote from legislative materials. ALL CAP1 exams are closed book. No notes, no legislation, no texts, just your memory.

There was one case where someone was ejected no too far away from me in the exam hall for having notes in a dictionary in the may sitting. If that doesnt prove it....

Well that must have been changed since last year so? Last year, we were allowed bring a copy of the Companies Acts into the exam. (A lot of people didn't bother though.)

The Law exam in CAP1 isn't too bad.

First place to start is the CAP1 Competency Statement i.e. what you need to know for the exam. Look at this Statement carefully and the weightings for each section.

The exam is a closed book exam. I am not 100% sure if you are allowed to bring in a copy of the Companies Acts. In last year's exams, I didn't see anyone with these. You don't need them anyway. Once you have revised the text, you will pass.

Look back at previous exam papers as well.

Thanks for the information. I have the book got so going to start reading it now which should give plenty of time for September 9th. I've also read the Competency Statement. Unfortunately I am not registered yet so I can't access previous exam papers. If anyone else would like to send me some it would be a great help. Thanks.
