First Car?

    Despite getting my licence a few years ago I never had a car of my own and I have haven't been driving since getting my licence.

    I have since moved north of the border and now earn the Queens money and I am getting sick of public transport so I am looking at getting a car of my own. I was thinking about getting a Ford Fiesta looking to spend between £4-5k.

    Is there any other cars I should be looking at and what should I be looking at for when viewing cars?

    Also re insurance would it be cheaper for me to transfer my licence into a UK one as my Irish one is up for renewal soon enough?
