Can anyone tell me what viscose material is like? Saw a maxi dress in it online. Don't want stretchy material or anything figure hugging. Want something free flowing and loose!

    Thanks for help in advance!

Anything viscose I have is like a fake silk type texture, it's not stretchy or figure-hugging but it can be static-y!

It's not particularly stretchy, and is sometimes called rayon (not very much any more). I usually see it in knitted things like sweaters. So it can be used as a sort of wool substitute. But it can also be used in underwear and then other things like skirts etc.

  • I personally don't like it, it feels (and often looks) cheap and it makes me all sweaty and I get red bumps on my skin because it can't breathe, but I have friends who have no issues with wearing it. I just dislike manmade materials.
