Polo 00 1L Engine Misfiring

This has been an issue with the car ever since I got it, every few months usually around 4k after a service the engine will start misfiring, the CEL will come on, it loose's power and sounds odd when ticking over. Why does it do this and is there any fix, sometimes if I leave it alone for a few days it will right itself…

This has been an issue with the car ever since I got it, every few months usually around 4k after a service the engine will start misfiring, the CEL will come on, it loose's power and sounds odd when ticking over. Why does it do this and is there any fix, sometimes if I leave it alone for a few days it will right itself other than that it is a new set of sparkplugs and only 4k after a service too. It started happening again yesterday and I'm rightly p'd off!

Sounds like plug leads or a coil pack.
