    Anyone catching any of the matches? Was there for the singles yesterday. Good win for Niland. Barry King beaten comprehensively unfortunately.. 1-1 with the doubles in progress at the moment. Fingers crossed we'll come through this one. :)

    lost doubles saturday. niland won again sunday to make it 2 all and barry king won the deciding match in straight sets. ireland win 3-2

    This means the team avoids relegation yes? Whats the set up for the Davis Cup, How many teams in each division?

    Yes they avoided relegation. There is a world group of the top 16 countries then the rest of the world is split based on region. There are three regions (euro/Africa, Asia/Oceania, Americas) and each of these has three groups, 1-3. Ireland played and now stay in euro/Africa group 2 for 2012. Think there's approx 16 teams per. group. The number if ties you play per year depends on how you do.
