    Hi,

Im flying to the US for business. Which is the best airline flying direct out of Dublin. Im going via JFK and picking up a connecting American Airlines flight to Bermuda, so have a choice of Delta, or Aer Lingus but have the option of Delta going to Atlanta and connecting there.

    Views please?

also does baggage have to collected in JFK or Atlanta and booked in again for flight to Bermuda?

Flew home from Atlanta last year with Delta and didn't even have a tv on the back of my seat, not impressed as its nearly an 8 hour flight. Thought the service was fairly poor as well, only 4 CC for the whole of economy. Their planes are also noticeably older than other airlines I've flown with.

Haven't flown with AL to the states in over 10 yrs but would be going with them next after such a poor experience with Delta.

If you went via London, Virgin are a cut above the rest.

Aer Lingus longhaul aircraft are new with personal TVs. Granted, the selection is just about enough to keep you going the entire 8+ hours but it'll get you by. My only gripe with them was that there were no drink runs outside of meal times so if you wanted anything in between it's a call for cabin crew or a help-yourself jobby which staff don't seem to mind. Dublin T2 is, of course, a dream.
