Gym/Swim in Dublin City

    Hey guys and girls,

I have recently moved to Dublin (D3), and I am looking to join a gym and/or swimming pool. I am unfit and overweight and I am looking to change that.

Unfortunately, the same old problem that many people have is haunting me, lack of money. So, I am hoping that someone could help by listing of any places they know that are good value for money, either for monthly/3 months preferably, as I don't have the funds for a years membership at the moment.

    Thanks :)

    Paul

Dublin city council gyms are all pay as you go. Afaik the countess markovic was €7 gym & swim. Many of the other council gyms do lunch time specials AFAIK. The most recently built ones are fantastic like. Check out the one in Ballymun of Finglas if I was you.

Yes the pool in Townsend street is fantastic. Set up for lane swimming most of the time and there is a swim club Atlantis based there
