Will Enda Show Up At The Hyde?

The Connaucht final is on 17th June in Hyde Park, Roscommon. Mayo vs. Roscommon. After the events of the last week with Fine Gael and Roscommon A&E I was wondering will Enda have the nerve to show up at the final? I for one say he's not welcome. And also the Roscommon man who voted in favour of the hospital A&E being shut down can stay away.

Build a bridge. It didnt warrant being kept open when the services are needed elsewhere.

Thankfully people like you don't have a say in the matter.

Yes, Enda should be banned from all sporting events.

    That will solve everything.

He'll show up alright, he has to as anything else would look like cowardice. Kennys father won an All Ireland for Mayo (in 1936 iirc) and he has had a good solid base of GAA support in the county over the years.

What will be interesting is that Mary McAleese will probably also show up, her father is from Roscommon and she has built her retirement home there. As a matter of protocol both will have to be introduced, I'm wondering if RTE will show Kenny being booed out of it when he is introduced.

The A&E needed to be closed. A country with 4.6 million people. If you lived in rural Canada, a country held as having a world class health service, then you would have much further to travel.

And we have no money. Intensive localised healthcare is a luxury we could never afford.

Government has done a solid job so far. More difficult, but necessary decisions ahead.

Fair play to Kenny for having the nuts to make a difficult decision, put in place a reasonable alternative and face down the inevitable local backlash.

Of course he should attend The Hyde and my bet is he will be made welcome.

People now understand that difficult decisions have to be made ...with more to come .....

Thats the long and short of it my friend...

Enda closed a remote, underperforming A&E and replaced it with a more suitable service?! The nerve! He should've realised nobody likes change.
