I got a present of an iPod nano last week, I had been very successfully using a shuffle for running and my OH very kindly got me a nano replacement when the shuffle finally died.... All good so far...
I love the nano but in relaity the shuffle would have been fine for what I use it for and I have an iPhone but all was going really well until I dropped it last night and SHATTERED the screen.
It still works fine but obviuosly looks terrible and I'm not sure how long it will last...
Any tips, offers of advice (other than "Don't drop your iPod").

It was bought in England in Currys/Dixons I think and as far as I know it is not insured.

    I haven't told my OH yet:o

If it was bought by credit card a lot of credit card companies provide 30 days free insurance. Probably the best way to go

the 6th generation nano is not a cheap fix, even DIYing it you'd be looking at €50

theres a crowd called rempairmymac that do apple repairs and only charge for the repair not for assesing the damage.

You could try the DIY route, (used to do that with my iPhone, kept busting the screen) found a guy in Lucan who sold the parts and downloaded the tutorial from you tube on how to fix it.
