Here is the specs for the second one

Why are they only looking at HP's? HP isn't the best brand of laptop around.

You get something like this for cheaper,
    http://www.saveonlaptops.co.uk/ASUS_B53F-SO160X_1054166.html
It's almost the same as the first HP, but it's cheaper and ASUS are a better brand.

    Thanks Fluffy!
She's spent a while looking around but I think she's comfortable with Hp as she's never had any problems with their products. She's particular about wanting the i5 processor with at least 4gb ram and 500gb. She likes the keyboard/trackpad on these Hp's too. We went through all the Lenovos, Acers, Asus' but she's not interested.
Do you think the specs are better on the first one? I know there's more hard drive space and I can't see why it's cheaper than the second?

I assume from the names the PC World is a slightly newer model,
    HP Pavilion g6-1075sa
    HP Pavilion g6-1058sa
Apart from that the PC World one seems to just have a smaller HDD so that's probably the reason for being £20 cheaper, I can't see anything else much in the difference.

It's the other way around and that's the thing we're confused about...
The pc world model g6-1075sa has the smaller hdd & is more expensive..it's actually on sale so I think it was more than 20 euro dearer.
I'm thinking the graphics make a difference? The g6-1075sa has integrated ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 and the cheaper g6-1058sa has integrated Intel HD graphics. I believe they're both good but the ATI is better for gaming.
Ugh I wish someone would buy one & put up a review somewhere!!

    saveonlaptops.co.uk HP Pavilion G6-1058sa - £499.99
    PC World HP Pavilion g6-1075sa - £479.99
The 750GB is the saveonlaptops model so the more expensive one when I look at them.

Intel HD graphics is not the card that's in the laptop, I didn't find details of it's graphics card anywhere except the max shared memory which is the same on both models.

Ah ok I'm looking at laptopsdirect where the 1058 is cheaper at 555 euro.

About the graphics, I didn't know that..I just presumed Intel hd was the card as that's the only info that seems to be under the graphics headline! If graphics are the same in both laptops that will make her decision much easier!

Thanks for your replies Fluffy..I appreciate it:)
