    HI Guys,

Can anyone tell me how much spending money me and my fiance would need for 10 days in Cancun? We're all inclusive but want money for tips and trips etc. We're budgeting roughly $1000 - $1400 between us. Is this enough?

Also would appreciate some trip recommendations also.

    Thanks.

Visited Mexico last September/October for 2 weeks, like OP all inclusive and the only thing we spent money on was 2 excursions. Prob about €300.
I think the amounts u mentioned are more than enough. Obviously if you leave the resort you are going to have to pay.
Worth a note though you need to pay, if i remember correctly $75 (i could be way out with the figure worth a check) on departure to immigration in the airport.
So stick that in ure passport for the journey home.

    Have a great holiday

dont remember having to pay when leaving buts its been almost 2 years since i was last there so maybe its changed. must do excursion is swimming with dolphins at isle mujeres, it costs around 100 to 150 US$, sorry cant remember exactly but its well worth it, its also a nice little day trip cos u get a boat out to the island where they also have loads of other animals like parrots (which u can hold), sloths, sharks etc. Another day trip is to chichenitza (not sure thats spelled right!) if you're looking for a bit of real mexico, culture, history etc. For a night out u cannot miss coco bongos, its like a vegas show crossed with a night club, its great fun, about 50 US$ in for the night and free bar, lots of fun to be had there! if you're going all inclusive then chances are the only money u really need is for nights out and excursions. Taxis are generally set fares, buses are every 5 to 10 mins and cost i think the equivalent of 30 cents. Also check out La Isla for shopping, it doesnt have the most amazing shops but good for duty free, Guess, etc, its like a little village with waterways and bridges, very pretty, also check out the local markets, they are usually all open at night too, great for lovely souvenirs and jewellery and dont forget to haggle!
