Memory Card Recovery Help!!

I thought I had backed up my videos and photos from my Kingston 32gb SDHC card to an external Hard drive. Next day I checked the folder wasnt there. It may be a case of a faulty external HDD or me pulling out the USB.

Stupidly I deleted everything from the memory card before checking. I havent used the memory card since but want to recover what I had on it if possible.

I got scan disc recovery pro 3.2 and ran the program. The program finds and recovers the photos without a problem. The .mp4 HD video files are now named with a .toc and are all 100mb not the 1gb+ Why is this not recovering the video files to there original state or am I doing something wrong or is there something further to do. I can see a .arj file also.

The photo and Video was all taken from my gopro HD hero. When saving the photos and video are normally saved in the same location on the memory card.

Anyone had similar issue or know what I need to do. I really want this video but also need the card to use again soon.

    Thanks in advance.

mp22 Any idea if this works or not? I dont mind paying but dont want to pay for something that does the same as scan disc pro recovery.

    Cheers

Recuva is free - and in my experience works fine . It doesnt split files or change extensions (file types) .

Unless the software you used has interfered with file structure on the card I'd say you have a good chance of recovering most if not all files as you havent written to it since deletion . I'm guessing you used Sandisk Rescue Pro 3.2 . I've never used that so cant be sure but maybe mp4 recovery isnt supported ?

Jumped too soon. Some of the files although its showing them in the recuva window they have a red light beside them. When I recover to a folder on my pc they dont work. Others that have a green light beside are working fine. All filmed on the same day same format. Any ideas?

its a a complicated route but have been there.
If you can download a version of backtrack live cd or pretty much any new linux live cd....they have a command line tool called foremost. it will copy even corrupted data of a medium. It has saved my ass as a tool of last resort lots of times.
