    Hi

We have 2 chimneys in our house.

1 at the moment is an open fire - sitting room.

The 2nd one is not been used at the moment. This the one we are going to use.

We want to put in a back boiler to heat our radiators. we have about 20 in the house but realise we probably will only be able to heat about 10.

we want to put in one of those "LCD" type stoves - Its built into the chimney and is flat against the wall kinda thing.

We just don't know where to go to price these kind of boilers in the republic or northern ireland.

    Any suggestions? Thanks

    Jinky

You say you have 20 rads in the house but only want to heat 10. Is it a zoned heating system or are they all on the one loop? Also, are the rads you have all single panel or are there doubles also?
Insert stoves can be got with backboilers but it depends how much heat output is required.

My current oil boiler has output of 18-22kw i think.

The current heating system is on the same loop with 2 thermostats - 1 upstairs and 1 downstairs.

    The rads are double panel.

The reason I say 10 rads is for the more modern lcd backboilers, the output seems to be a lot less than a free standing stove - If we could get one that would heat all the rads - brilliant:)

Riva 55 or Nestor Martin IT13 - kind of appearance is what we are looking for...saw it on your facebook page:)

Double rad would need more heat than a single obviously, but often times is overlooked. If its a backup for your system it wont be much of an issue but you will struggle to get an inset with that high heat output to the system from cold to hot on its own. Highest output inset stove I can think of is the Esse 350GS with output of 14.7kw to the boiler. A nice stove with modern front choices but not as flush as the riva.
The Riva and nestor martin inserts dont have boilers, that im aware of.

Attached is a pic of a non-boiler 5kw Esse stove wall mounted.

That Looks nice - I'm in Cavan - might take a spin up to you on saturday.

What kind of cost is that? How far out from a whal would it roughly be?

it would be sitting a few inches off the wall.
