    looking for a good car service, how much are these normally and what is included in a basic service!:)

    Start with your local main dealer and then get prices from local mechanics that have been recommended to you.

    Will do:) Main dealers would be over the moon with prices though!!:) haha what actually gets done in a service?

    What gets done depends on what is due for the age/mileage of the vehicle.

    Going by your other thread, you say your van hasn't been serviced in a long time so you'll likely need everything done, i.e oil/oil filter, fuel filter, air filter, brake fluid etc. Timing belt also due at 100k miles/10 years.

    For all the above including timing belt you'd be looking in the region of €500 from a decent indy garage I recon.

    If you are in South Tipp, Barlos in Clonmel would probably be the best place to go
