Just to say the iphone 4 is out about 6 months

you might have to come down in price

I sold my 16 gig 2 months ago for 230 and my friend sold a 32 and got 250 for it, because the iphone4 has been out a while now, and alot of people are waiting for the 5 i'd say you will have to take less than your asking price mate

i have a 3gs, which i got "free" with a contract. have it about 1.5 years. so i didn't fork out a lump sum for mine and i don't really know the actual market rate for 2nd hand 3gs now, but my instinct was my upper limit would be 200 for a barely used/mint condition one it given that iphone 4 is out a while and 5 is on the way.

The 4 is out a year. The 3GS is showing its age - same screen resolution as the original 2007 iphone and there's already some ios functionality that doesn't work on the 3GS. I bet the performance will take a nose dive when ios5 comes out.

Looks like you've got some fair offers in your ad.

The 290 offer i would have accepted, but the bidder wanted me to drive 90 kilometers for that price.

I don't mind driving a few miles, but two counties away, for the guy to say, nah, I thought it would have been in better condition. And what if he haggled again when I got there and said he would give me less than the €275, after me driving 90 kilometres to get there. I would still have to drive back, minus the fuel, minus the toll charge.

If someone wants to see something they should come to see it, to be honest.

    I sold a white 32gb recently for €200
I usually buy my iphones based on these prices http://www.envirofone.ie/en-ie/search?make=Apple&search=iPhone+3G+S+32GB
then recondition the front/rear if needed and sell at about €50 more than the prices there.

I'd reckon a good condition phone is worth about €50 above their prices, that's with charger, cable, box.

You can also get a new, unlocked 16GB iPhone 4 from America for €451

Out 12 months actually and the new one will be out in about 2 months. 3GS isn't getting all the iOS 5.0 features either so it's a tough sell.

More like 500 as you're not going to get the spot rate as well as sales tax. Not to mention the fact that well... America.

    Beat me to it :)

Well depending if you've got people in America or not I suppose, goes up to €470 from Canada and €567 from the UK ... Still better than €599 from the Irish store though ...
