    Hello,
Have a Vaio VPCF11S1E with a dead motherboard.
Can anyone suggest where I could buy a replacement, or a tech that will not charge me the price of the laptop to fix a laptop?
    thanks in advance

    What's wrong with the board?

I had spilled coffee on laptop about 30 days before, had sent it immediately for cleaning, the pc worked well for about 30 days and then would start freezing up after a few minutes of use. Ran a few diagnostics for RAM, CPU, HARD DRIVE, and all seemed good. Sent it to a laptop shop where they said they could not fix it, send it then to Sony vaio service and they diagnosed the motherboard (asking 700€ to replace it).

thanks for advice but I have tried but cannot seem to find any, also went onto a few websites dedicated to selling MB's and couldn't identify one that seemed the right one. I am not even sure of the right part number or reference for the board.

Sell it for parts and get a new one. There is one on ebay now, not working, no HDD, no PSU, it was up to 350 sterling, with 5 hours to go.
