Sky hd sub scrapped in October

Pal of mine had to call Sky today over an issue with HD. The lady from Sky UK told him that the hd sub will be free from October 2011. ;)

I'll believe it when I see it. The HD sub alone brings in tens of millions of pounds every single month for sky.

Doubt it. Sky are on the verge of being snapped up by News Corporation. This charge brings in millions as already mentioned. They are unlikely to make significant revenue earning changes prior to sale.

It's being scrapped on Multi room subs from 1st sept along with the new prices and package changes.

its not been scrapped as such. u pay 15 euro sub and you then get get hd on all the boxes in house and not just the main one!
