Buses to the airport, you're kidding:D I think two a day normally! Part of the problem.

Actually joking aside, I believe they have a park and ride at Ballybrit for the day. So you only need to get to Ballybrit.

I might be there, sort of. Depending on the weather. Could even be part of the display, sort of. We'll see.

Actually looking at this event. Given the airport's troubles. Wouldn't a proper airshow be an option? Move the Salthill airshow to the airport. It would bring in revenue for the airport because of course people would have to pay to get in. And it would ressurect the airshow. After all the proper place for an airshow is an airport.

Steyr where are you? Any thoughts?

Make sure you bring €10 to leave the airport and go home

The sign states the charge is for passenger's.
If they are going to consider each attendee at the airshow a passenger then I would consider that absurd, in any case i'll throw a foot in the door and see what the craic is. Hopefully the air corps will send a helicopter or two down.

Superb day, although it was a typical irish summers day, the heli flying was great! Nice to see the 61N up close, you could feel the heat off the exhausts and the lovely smell of JetA1:D
On the way home driving past Carnmore I got a glimpse of the GASU which replaced the 61 later in the day due to a trawler getting into difficulty off the Galway coast.

Was a great day - I got a great laugh when I heard on the tower frequency "You're number four for arrival" - has it ever been said there :D

Great displays by Gerry Eddie & of course - Harry.

Heli Ops looked great the EI-ZZZ kept swinging in and looking like an Apache!

Pitty I didn't get to meet any of you lads - or mayby I did? Another time sure.

    SkyFest
