Hi, I have heard many times that if you overstay in Oz and get your three year ban, you are then banned from other countries i.e Canada. Is this true?

makes sense do you not think? If you overstay in one country then any other country would view you as a risk.

it wouldnt be an automatic ban, more like self exclusion ..... because you admitted to it.

But if you try and hide it and the canadians find out you have no chance.

ye it does but i have a friend going to Canada soon and he over stayed here in Oz and we're just curious as to whether someone has actually had this problem and tried to enter Canada. I myself think the borders have to be linked to some kinda database. I overstayed in the US and they granted me a 4 year student visa 2 years ago so that also makes me wonder..
