    And of course, don’t forget to bring your vehicle
    registration book, registration certificate or licensing certificate

    On the back of the nct leaflet it says the above. I barely knew what this meant.. basically the deed to the car. Do they really check this? I dug it out of the file cabinet. Glad I spotted this!

    I never needed it. Had my license though.

    have not been asked for it in 7 nct's but for the sake of one its probably best to have as the quote "if you have one you wont need it " is probably best when the friendly guys in the nct are involved

    I'd rather bring it with me and not be asked for it than not bring it and then be asked for it.

    you better bring it with you I happened to mention this topic to a neighbour today and he was asked for his, he had to ring is partner and get her to drop it to him .......

    My dad just NCT'd my car for me last weekend and they accepted his driving license as a form of ID (despite stating they want the owner's ID) just in case you need to get someone else to bring it in for you.

    It seems to be a new requirement, but anyone I saw who didn't have theirs with them was just told to make sure they brought it next time. It didn't cause any issues.

    Put a 50 in your drivers license when you give it to them.... erm.. they changed that didn't they ? :-0
