Does anyone know if this is a good van? How does it compare to the Toyota Hiace in terms of reliability and longevity?

    Thanks in advance.

Absolutely bang on machine, if the cargo space suits you. Very reliable, very tough mechanicals and generally good.

Good friend of mine has one for work. No real opinions on long term reliability as they are too new but he said its nice to drive, as vans go, and very quick. He did say its not exactly handy on diesel though but his is a company van so his driving style may be different then if he had to pay for the diesel himself:P

Thanks for your reply. I'm interested in this van but I intend keeping the van for 12 years plus so reliability and longevity would be crucial.Do you think it would last? From a safety and comfort perspective, I see the middle seat doesn't have a headrest which is also an issue. Is it possible to change the middle seat?

Thanks for the replies. Any takers for the above?

Well there you have it, he's trying to drive it fast so he's noticed it's "very quick" but also "not exactly handy on diesel" I wonder why? :D

You could fit a centre headrest from a toyota dyna. They bolt onto the bulkhead. Not part of the seat.

    Buggers your rear visibly though

A mate has an '08 montana as a taxi, 240k kms and the engine went, don't know if it was turbo or some other part, cost him 4.5 to fix. He drives up from offaly to the big smoke on a daily basis. Said he had very few other problems.
