M7 - Extreme downpour between Portlaoise and Roscrea

Anyone go through the massive downpour at around half 6 this evening between portlaoise and roscrea?. I had a terrible near accident. Going through it raised my heart rate because my car started 2 slide a little but what happened next gave me a mini heart attack. My bloody wipers decided 2 break and could not see anything.…

Anyone go through the massive downpour at around half 6 this evening between portlaoise and roscrea?. I had a terrible near accident. Going through it raised my heart rate because my car started 2 slide a little but what happened next gave me a mini heart attack. My bloody wipers decided 2 break and could not see anything. i had 2 pull onto the hard shoulder quick as there was a car behind me and not knowing if there was a railing there or not. luckily i ended up in the grass and not smashing off a railing or a wall... Never experienced anything like it in my life and hopefully i wont again..
