Disabling networks on Android phone

    Just recently got a galaxy s2. Great phone. What I didn't realise was how riddled with popup ads android apps and games are. I was told a solution to this issue is to cut your phone off from any data/networking. Is this easy to do, short of removing the sim entirely?

    i like Widgetsoid it will allow you to have nearly any setting in the widget. one of which is data so you can click on and off from homescreen.
