It was only last year so at least it's fresh in your memory.

running threw the corn fields with a bunch of friends of 1 i had a crush on, being on the top of the bails of hay on the tractor trailer while it was moving, learning to drive on fields and along bog roads, traveling in the trailer on the back of the car. Fishing with my dad, pier jumping, having no fear, innocence and crushes and first love.

thinking we were the bees knees becasue we could watch 18 movies like terminator and total recall and all the van damm films, also having a can here n there.

Back then, everything was exciting. Going shopping with your best friend in town, 'meeting' a fella , falling in love with a new band... because it's all new and different. All the fun of not being a kid with none of the responsibility of adulthood.Even just hanging around with your friends doing nothing can be excting. You also really think it's possible to do your dream job 'cause school hasn't got its claws into yet with the auld Points Race/ C.A.O. ****e... good fcuking times. It all takes a nosedive from the ages of 15-18, but then it picks up again in college. But you don't have the same innocence about you. I'd love to go back to being 13, that was a sweet age.

Did you grow up in 1930's Mississippi?

Listening to Nirvana & Pearl Jam & believing that those songs were written only for me. That Kurt Cobain & Eddie Vedder were the only ones in the world that were going through the same tortured anguish as I was. Basically I was a little bitch with an attitude problem.

That attitude was made all the worse by being shipped out to aunts & uncles farms under the pretence of a 'visit', it was really child labour. Cows had to be milked, silage pits had to be covered, gates had to be painted & weeds had to be pulled.

Funnilly enough I don't miss it.

Everything was a first, everything was new. First kiss, first crush, everything. I miss the illicitness of an underage drink or a cigarette, or semi-sexual encounter (lol). Nowadays I can drink and smoke whenever I like and it's just not the same rush! Same with 18's movies :) At the same time though you go through an awful lot of ****e, I wouldn't go back for any money. Onwards!

TBH I still do both of those things. One of them, not as much as I did back then.

I remember when it was show jumping season me and my friends would gather barrels and planks that were used for scaffolding and make our own show jumping arena and raise it higher for every go, whoever couldn't jump over had to do a dare which usually involved nicking something from one of our houses or pulling their pants down! Luckily I was nimble :D

Getting mammy dinners everyday...I can cook the same food now but it never tastes as good!

The adrenaline rush you got taking some of the parents' drink and hiding it for yourself! Especially at Christmas when they got all the good stuff in!:)

    No responsibilities!

    Nothing at all.
Worst time period of my life.
Wouldn't relive it for all the money in the world.

Was going to agree with above poster and say horrible period of my life. It really was.

Then I remembered my best friend from school and myself in knots laughing till we were crying and nearly pissing ourselves, its funny I thought that would never go, but now she has four children and lives on the other side of the world our only banter is 'hi, how are things, gosh hasn't your youngest grown?':(

How excited me and my best friend were when we first started making male friends outside of school. We would over think every word, exaggerate the smallest conversation, and think someone we spoke to once was our new best friend.

I hated those years 11-14 weren't great at all. 15+ were much better times, as was 10 and under.

I don't miss anything to be honest.

Though If givn the chance I wouldn't mind being 12 now. Would make different choices than I did in the past for some things and I would love the see what technology produces in the future. Although I am only 27 at the moment. But a lot happens in 15yrs
