maternity leave and pay

    i do not get paid maternity leave from work i get paid the maternity benefit from social welfare am finishing up work this week to go on maternity leave am i entitled to my week in hand back when i finish up as we work a week in hand?

    No you are not entitled to your week in hand as you are going to be returning to work..you only get your week in hand when you finish up completely in the place you work...if you are not planning on going back after maternity leave is up then you would not actually be entitled to claim maternity benefit...

    thanks for your reply was told by somebody at work that i would as after returning to work after my last child i had to work a week in hand again was not sure just said i would ask.
