    Hi All,

Just wondering what size dish is required to pick up the nordic beam on 4.8east? I'm in the midlands.
    Thanks

Dont think you will, I know a 80cm-1m will get it on east coast of UK, But here you will need a 2m dish i would say. That nordic beam really drops off past East UK.

Anecdotal reports of fringe unstable reception from massive dishes in Ireland.

In Dundalk with Triax 1.1m dish, AzBox and recently acquired Inverto Black Ultra LNB I can get two tp's on the Nordic beam but only at 30%, 11747V and 11862V and nothing at all on any of the rest. This compares with 97% on 12073H on the European beam. I can scan in the channels at 30% but they would be marginal for viewing if they were FTA.

Thanks for the replies. Great info there.

Sounds like I could probably get a viewable signal of the stations on the nordic beam with a 1.5m or 1.8m dish with a good lnb.

Anyone with a 1.5 / 1.8m dish that size that can receive them in Ireland? I've a contact that gets the Viasat package at a great price, I would probably get the dish and package if I was sure of getting the stations.

    Thanks
