Thanks. Nothing fancy, just something cheap and functional. Argos used to have good ones but cant see any now.

This has very good reviews, it's £24.95 but with free delivery

I have it, but haven't used it yet. It holds a lot though, but it doesn't have wheels (which keeps the weight down and allows you to use more room), but lots of people have used it and have had no problems.

There is a large thread in Bargain Alerts about Cabin Bags. It dates from February of this year before argos changed their catalogue so some of the links are outdated, but nearer the end it's a bit more up-to-date

If you want something cheaper, just walk around Pennys, Dunnes, Heatons, Tk Maxx etc. with a measuring tape and measure lots of bags to see if they fit 55x40x20cm (remember: this must include wheels and handles and anything that sticks out - do not trust the label of the bag as they usually only count the actual storage bit!).

Has anyone tried the official Ryanair one?

I posted about the bag I bought in this thread:

It's still in good condition and does the job it was intended to do.

I have a dunnes stores one, bought about three years ago for €20. Used back and forth to uk with Ryan Air/Aerlingus at least 50 times since without issue. Starting to get a bit battered but for the money paid was great value!
