    I'm new enough to cycling.
Was building up to 100km spins in order to do the Wicklow 100 this year and thats my longest route so far.
I don't really have time during the week to get out due to work commitments and having a toddler but would love to get out more at the weekends.

So the purpose of this thread is to find out what the lay of the land is with the Naas CC (I live in Kill). Can I just turn up one Sunday and head out with with the club or is there a membership required first?

At the moment I'm just doing 50km routes around Kill/Rathcoole/Kilteal etc. and would like to expand on that as it gets a bit boring on your own.

Hi there- no problem, just show-up. Same goes for anyone reading this. Obviously if you start coming out week after week you would be expected to join but that's reasonable and is required for insurance. Joining only costs €35 anyway and includes Cycling Ireland membership.
There are Nine and Ten O clock groups. The ten group go further and faster. Either way you will be welcomed and encouraged

I think the 9 group goes further and faster... leaves from the Court House..

The 10 group leaves from Tesco and is more leisurely....

Youre right- 10 am is slower. Doh!

I'm living in Kill also. Just started out 'proper' cycling recently with a view to completing a few duathlons. If you fancy a spin out some morning / evening drop me a pm.

The guys at Naas are a really good bunch and they organise some brilliant sportives. I've been out with them before and they are a good group. Unfortunately I got hit by a car for the second time in 12 months and have only just gotten back on the bike since my back healed up.

Was out twice at the weekend and looking to bring my fitness up, did two runs of 75km so hopefully this will launch me in to the second half of the year!

I was out with the C group yesterday. A nice spin (if a little longer than expected).
    A good bunch of lads.

Glad to hear you went out with some of the club members.
Best of luck and don't forget the Martin Earley Tour of Kildare is on next month!

Is this still taking place? Doesn't seem to be anywhere to sign up for it?

Oh right thanks. Appears to say you can't sign up online on that link but sure I may head along on Sunday if it is going ahead. Thanks
