NASRPC 2011 Postal Leagues Update

We are now a few months into the 2011 NASRPC Summer Postal Leagues with the scores from June now winging their way to the National Discipline Co-ordinators.

As you will be aware there are a total of 7 Postal Leagues being run by NASRPC over the Summer across Benchrest Rifle & Gallery Rifle. These are
    • 50m Benchrest Rifle - Heavy Varmint
    • 50m Benchrest Rifle - Light Varmint
    • 50m Benchrest Rifle - International Sporter
    • Smallbore Gallery Rifle 1020
    • Smallbore Gallery Rifle 1500
    • Centrefire Gallery Rifle 1020
    • Centrefire Gallery Rifle 1500
There was a huge uptake for these events with
42 Entries from 7 Clubs in Benchrest Rifle and
54 Entries from 9 Clubs in Gallery Rifle.

Having so many people out shooting all of these disciplines on their home ranges on a regular basis has increased support and demand for these sports and we would hope this will translate into even more competition at club and national events over the coming year.

There have been some great scores with definite improvement being seen from month to month. Not only does this lead to an increased standard of competition but should lead to increased competition for the slots on the National Teams over the coming year also.

So well done to everyone so far and best of luck in the rest of the leagues.

A Special thank you to Oliver Claffey/Hilltop, NASRPCs Benchrest Rifle National Discipline Co-ordinator, who has not only got the leagues up and running but has also scored each and every target in all three BR leagues.

Also Glenn Forde/ECSSC, NASRPCs Gallery Rifle National Discipline Co-ordinator, for getting the GR Leagues off to such a good start (Glenn has not had to spend as much time as Ollie sweating over a hot target with a .22 gauge though :-).

The League Tables and current standings for all of the leagues can be seen on the NASRPC website
    (Benchrest Rifle) (Gallery Rifle)

If you would like to know how you can get involved in future postal competitions, have any questions regarding NASRPC competitions or those of its member clubs or indeed have any suggestions or feedback with regard to competitions then have a look at the NASRPC website or drop a line to competitions@nasrpc.ie
