Here are some of my photos from Goodwood Festival Of Speed this weekend.

Motorshows are great, but the cars just sit there..... Goodwood is different, you actually see Veyrons & Original GT40s at full attack going up the hill. You hear & smell them as they are doing it and you can then can go around to the paddocks and look them over and listen to them cool down.... awesome.

Never been before but will be back.

Yup, Horacio was cool as you like, sticking small kids into the Huayra and just shooting the breeze with people.

Saw Nigel Mansell, Jenson Button, Lewis hamilton, Jay Leno... among loads of others.

Chris Evans was a total legend, just hanging out by his Ferraris telling stories and just having a laugh.... his £12million GTO was out and about for everyone to see and touch.

60,000 people there each day on Sat & Sunday..... very friendly crowd but can be a bit mental at times when trying to get a photo!

I'm living in London for the summer for work so I just drove down early as the traffic can get clogged up in the small villages around Goodwood. It's on for 3 days and you can camp over for free, tickets are about £55 a day or £115 for the weekend, sounded pretty steep when I heard first, but was worth every last penny!

The Aventador was incredibly fast and was probably one of the loudest and best sounding supercars of the weekend. My favorite was the Huayra, wasn't a massive fan when I saw the release photos first, but seeing it in the metal totally changed my mind, it's detailing and the over all stance that sold me, also the active-aero winglets moving independently while cornering was very cool.

The Veyron Supersport looked like it was released off the end of a giant elastic band when it took off.... kinda surreal especially as it was not very loud.

Brilliant! I'd say it was some thing to see it take off!

great photos. I was at it myself on Friday but left the camera in the car in the airport and left my phone in the car in goodwood. It's a great show, very friendly, people are happy to just stand around chewing the fat about anything, even the small things like lads remembering the first time they saw xyz car an how they felt about it !
We flew in Thursday night to Gatwick, stayed about 30 mins away from there and drove down via Arundel ( A27 ) I think on Friday morning. Very well run, was never stopped for more than 1 minute with traffic either on the way in or out.
I will go again and mrs AMerc is insisting I take her to the Revival some September.

I have to say that lad has some life - his show for the previous few days was "the magnificent 7" where basically him and a few mates ( Fr Brian Dowling ? ) drove 7 of his Ferraris around doing car based stuff ( track days etc ) on their way to Goodwood. He broadcast this as his show i.e. part of his work !

The drivers of the 7 ferraris are actually people who bid large amounts of money to BBC Children in Need for the honour, not just hit friends. So he lets 7 complete strangers drive his prized collection and that, I believe, includes the £12million GTO.

I'm afraid a Delorean would be too slow for my style. But I see where you are going with that so I'll fix it. :)
