    Hi,

Im looking at returning to college to do a part time evening degree course in sept. I am in receipt of the carers allowance and thought I would be eligible for the back to education allowance however I spoke with the social welfare today and they said I was not entitled to it as I will be attending part time.

Does anyone know if I am eligible for another grant or free fees.

Any help at all would be great!

Part-time course are not covered under the student grants scheme. No fees either :(

You can get tax relief on the fees if someone earning pays them for you e.g. a parent or partner

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
