I have recently been demoted in the company I am working for, I will be losing my bonus as a result, but as of yet nothing has been given to me on written paper stating that I will lose the benefits or that I have been demoted... where do I stand/what is my rights? How can I go about this? I would appreciate some light on…

I suggest you have a look here and here to get an idea of what your rights are.
