    Hi guys,

Just wondering if anyone is either trading up to the mk II version of this lens and wants to sell their mkI or has an mk II and looking to sell anytime soon?

I am looking to pick up this lens (either a mkI or mkII) and have my eye on adverts.ie (would rather not go down the ebay route) so I thought I'd try my luck here first.

    Cheers,
    Seany

Have you seen this in Bermingham's?

It's the mk1 version, hence the price

its also the non-IS version (just to note it)

I have 2/3 70-200mm f2.8 lenses, I'll send them over to canon (Fixation) for a service and we can haggle a price upon inspection.

    Thanks guys,

Yes, I would be looking for a copy with IS if possible.

Have you seen the list price? €1689.... and it's the non IS version. That must be some list.

Ouch, I paid £999 for my IS mkI new from Ian Kerr a few years ago and I got a €100 rebate on top of that.

I just sold my EF 70-200mm f/4.0 L IS yesterday and this afternoon bought the 70-200 2.8 IS MkII from kerso. It cost 1700 sterling. Not bad IMO, considering the price in Ireland... I let you know in a year if it was worth it.... :pac:

Nice... thats a saving of €785 on what I have been already quoted in Dublin!

I can maybe understand paying a little more for dealing locally however a price difference of 30% more is just a rip off.

In the spirit of acknowledging excellent service and very good value for money.....

I got my new lens from Kerso of Scotland, the 70-200MM 2.8 IS MK II. It was Tuesday late afternoon @ around 4 when I ordered it. It arrived here promptly to my home this morning (Friday), just in time for the weekend. So if anyone is thinking of purchasing, I thoroughly recommend checking this guy out first. Plus if you email him, kerso1123@msn.com, he'll send you an even cheaper price list than the ebay one..... It's a total no brainer.
