Hotel in Rio

    Heading to Rio on honeymoon at the end of September and looking for a recommendation for a nice, clean hotel with a pool and close to the beach if possible.

    Any help appreciated and if you have any other tips or advice let me know!

    We stayed at the at a lovely hotel right beside the Copacabana beach, it was called the tulip (or maybe golden tulip), it was less than a 5 min walk from the beach, it had a pool on the roof, we had a view of the sugar loaf and the sea. I booked it online and found it to be very reasonable...it also had a huge all you can eat breakfast buffet which was brilliant !!!

    Thanks for the reply but its already booked out! Must be something on in the city in or around that week as a lot of places seem to be booked out already!

    We stayed here for a week. Excellent spot. Had to move to a lesser hotel for our second week as it was expensive. I would love to stay here again sometime.

    Be carefull walking on the beach at night. Good chance of being mugged.
