Current Laptop Battery Is Dying, A Question To Ask

It should have pretty much the same battery life as the one you go with the laptop and lifespan. 4400mAh is it's battery life, check to see what it says on the bottom of your battery and it should be the same.

I have the same laptop as you and if I used my battery I would buy that without much hesitation. The seller has 99% positive feedback with almost 13000 votes so you can be pretty certain it's going to be a good battery.

Rather than making assumptions I decided to look at my battery :)

It says on the battery under the "CAUTION"
    "Replace only with Dell batter module TYPE GW240, RN873, GP952, M911G, X248G."
And at the top it says,
    "TYPE M911G"

On the pic for that battery it says "GW240" and M911G is listed under the models it can replace.

And my battery has a Capacity of 41Wh which converts to about 3700mAh so the replacement battery would last longer.

Wonder if any of you can advise/help me.

Does your battery charge automatically or is there somewhere on this thing where I can click a box or an icon to get my battery to charge?

It's a Dell Inspiron ,less than a year old and the battery appears to have stopped charging so I'm constantly having to leave it plugged in, battery reads 0% so the minute I unplug it (if I want to move from room to room) the laptop dies.

I'm stoopid when it comes to laptops :o would appreciate any help.

    Thanks
