    Hey,
I've just been to the post office to collect my JA from last week.Usually it is there on the Monday after issuing however today there was no money to be collected.
I have a receipt that says- 'NIL Receipt' The specified Card/PPS Number is unknown to the system.for additional infromation please contact you local exchange.

Does anyone know what this means?I have checked the number on the receipt..My pps number is fine however my Card ID is missing the last 3 digits that are on my card.Could this be the reason?

Could the social welfare office have stopped my payment without notifying me?

    Any help would be great.
    Thanks

could be as simple as your card having been damaged somehow. Your local SW will sort you out im sure:)

Thanks for the replies folks.I have to sign on tomorrow so could ask then but something just occurred to me now.

My card is fairly old and I believe the magnetic strip is pretty much gone at this stage,so I think they input the numbers by hand at the post office.

Could they have missed the last 3 digits or is that not needed.

    Thanks again

They just enter your PPS number in the post office so unless they got that wrong...

Ask tomorrow when you're signing on.
