Our current Stuart and Turner pump (STP) is on the out and needs replacing. Our problem is that the plumber who installed it (8 years ago) had made some appalling plumbing decisions in the past and we are not sure how 'solid' the pipes and their connections are! Would increasing the current STP 1.8 twin showermate to a STP 2.5 or 3 bar monsoon negative twin pump put too much pressure on the pipes and connections or would the increase be ok? We are currently running 3 showers on the 1.8 bar but usually only one shower is going at a time.

Get a price first ,your looking at major money for a 2.5 or 3.0 negative head pump. Possibly twice the price of a 1.5 - 2.0bar.

A 2bar would be fine as long as all showers are not on at the same time.
