I am going to buy a new laptop, I will be using it for internet surfing mostly, photos and not much else. Is itunes possible on a laptop, I'm new to this. What size ram wouls I need? I have a budget of 400-500 euro but most of this is in all for one vouchers so I am limited to currys, harvey norman, expert and argos. Would an ipad be a better option or a netbook??

The first thing you need would be a good processor, and a minimum of 2GB of ram as your base line. This laptop on sale in PC World is actually prefect for what you need. It has a quad core processor so its failry powerful by laptop standards, it has 4GB of ram and a lot of storage space, 500GB.

An Ipad is not a going to do the same things as a laptop, so i wouldn't even consider it to be honest.

As for whether or not you should get a netbook or a laptop, it depends on how portable you need this device to be. If it's going to spend most of the time at home on a desk, get a laptop. On the other hand if you're going to be carrying it around with you a lot, you should lean towards something more portable like a netbook.
