Anyone ever lived around this area? if so, whats it like at night? the area looks like it has a high potential to be dodgy? looking at the Maltings apartments and there are some lovely apartments for very cheap...

I lived on Island St (in The Atrium) for 3 years until 2009. Never had any trouble. Walked home late at night many times either via Thomas St or along the quays. It looks a bit grim but it's grand really.

lived at the maltings for 4 years and I doubt if there is a better run place, the area is a bit dark but thats it. the apartments themselves are very strict and well run, as for the area I never had any trouble in 4 years
