The Irish Coast Guard are expecting delivery of 4 new Delta RIB's in the near future.
Three of the boats are the Super X models [pic] which are 9 meters long with a beam of 3 meters. These boats are powered by twin Yamaha F225B engines, to give a cruising speed of 32 knots and a maximum speed of 40 knots.
Two of these boats are going to the Bunbeg and Greencastle units in Co. Donegal, the third boat is going to the Doolin unit in Co. Clare.
An 8 meter Delta is also being delivered to the Killala unit in Co. Mayo.

Glad to see taxpayers money being spent on something fruitful for a change and not on tribulals and banks...:)
