Alright lads, I've just picked up golf this summer. I've only been playing pitch and putt with few friends, nothing too adventurous...yet :D

the thing is I've been using the golf clubs club's for the few times I've been and wouldn't mind picking up few of my own now that Im getting into it:)

What would you suggest I invested in? Would it be worth buying a whole set or just a couple of irons, a putter, a pitching wedge?

I don't plan on tackling any full courses this summer but in the future I hope to be able to.

    Thanks lads :)

A wedge or two and a putter should get you going. Maybe 48/54* or 50/56* or whatever you prefer.

If you think you will keep it up might be worth getting a few decent clubs that you can add to when you start playing par 3 or full courses.

You could buy second hand wedges/putter in your local golf shop or online (adverts or donedeal) without breaking the bank. This would be a good option if you think you'll keep it up rather than spending 30 euro on a few dunlop clubs or the like. There not great really.

If you wanted to buy new, i think md golf are good clubs at a reasonable price. I think you can buy their wedges/putter for less than fifty apiece.

Edit... Dunluce golf on ebay is where i bought md gear before. Cheapest i found. They gave me a code for futher discounts. That inludes friends/family so pm if you do want to buy from them
