    Ribs at Tony Roma's, in Tenerife and in Belfast. Not the most extravagant of foodstuff, but if my health/wallet could afford to eat a full rack of ribs from there for every meal I dont think I'd ever get tired of them. F*cking fantastic.

    on a trip in the states two years ago ,we were on our way to Nashville from Pigeon Forge but the drive was a little long ,it had been a long day and it was getting late so we pulled into a motel of I40 near Tuckers crossroads.
    Checked in and headed out looking for food near this motel There was a couple of fast food joints and a very empty looking steak house.We decided to risk it anyway.
    It was 9.45pm and the place closed at 10Pm ,you could tell the waitress was not happy too see us arriving in ,but she took our order ,I was drawn to "Elvis style Pork Chops" which apprently is standard pork chops cooked and seasoned how Elvis liked them.
    The nicest thing I have ever eaten in my life lighty seasoned shallow fried Pork Chops on the bone with mash green beans and real gravy.

    I still go to bed at night dreaming of a return for those pork chops

    Stuffed Boar's Head in Hotel Barbarossa, Konstanz, about 30 years ago. Stuffed with sausage meat, tongue, truffles, pistachio nuts, chopped apples and apricot. Served on a bed of Spaetzle, asparagus tips and roast potatoes AND copious quantities of the house Red. Burp! :)

    Nice, Southern France. My god, they really know how to cook in some places there.
    The words 'beautiful' can't begin to describe some of the food/meals there.
    I nearly had a ruddy orgasm at the table with every bite - and that was before the deserts which nearly reduced me to tears.

    Aaa... the memories...
    If there is one place on Earth I'm returning to, it's there.

    Biggins ya spooky bar steward, I was thinking that all through reading this thread.

    Which restaurants? Nice is one place I'll be going to anyway.

    Hop the train for 15 mins to Cagnes Sur Mere, walk towards the hilltop which is a Roman Fort. Halfway up there is a place on a fork in the street. Stop and be knocked out by the food, wine and the service. When you're finished, head up the hill and enjoy the atmosphere in the square at night at some great bars.

    Between that and 3 other places for me for favourite;

    Sorrento, La Favorita, reputed to be the birthplace of Cannelloni. You eat in a lemon grove that has gown around the fixtures and fittings and the cannelloni is incredible, as is the Limoncello.

    Glasgow, Ashoka in Ashton Lane, proper Friday night Ruby before you hit the fleshpots of Sauciehall Street.

    Donegal Town, Shapla Indian. Looks like shít from the outside and deadly on the inside. The Railway Curry is unbelievable. I've driven up on a Friday from Dublin just to be in Donegal so I can have it and I know of other people doing it.
