    Hey Guys,

Just wondering what food and alcohol costs in supermarkets in Italy compared to Ireland?

Going there soon and will be doing a lot of shopping in Sondrio (Near enough to Milan).

    Thanks!

Food definitely is a lot cheaper here in Italy. Especially the fruit and veg you can get at markets is amazing value. I do not drink, so I cannot give you details of alcohol prices. But my girlfriend buys wine regularly. I know from her that good wine will set you back €1.99 per bottle at most.
